What is SWLA-LINK?

SWLA-LINK is a volunteer-operated amateur radio network providing wide-area digital voice and RF-to-IP connectivity across the Southwest.

Who can use SWLA-LINK?

Any properly licensed amateur radio operator may use the network.

Is SWLA-LINK free to use?

Yes. Use of the network is free. Donations and sponsorships are voluntary and help offset infrastructure costs.

What digital modes are supported?

SWLA-LINK supports DMR, System Fusion (YSF), D-STAR, P25, NXDN, AllStarLink, and related RF-to-IP linking systems.

Do I need permission to connect?

No All Amateur Radio Operators , Clubs are welcome from all across the world

Can clubs connect their repeaters?

Yes. We welcome you to connect

Is monitoring or listening allowed?

Yes. Listening to amateur radio transmissions is permitted. Transmitting requires a valid amateur radio license.

How is the network funded?

The network is funded through voluntary donations and sponsorships, which are used solely to support infrastructure and operational costs.
